Well it's pretty obvious that the next game is going to have Slytunkhamen II in it.
What ideas to you guys have about the next game? I have a feeling Penelope is going to come back as a villain again, as disappointing as that sounds.

I really don't see why everyone thinks the next game will have more ancestors. As much fun as it sounds, it seems like doing that would break the uniqueness of the 4th.
I think, however, there will be ancestor DLC. The 5th game will try a new form of technique and build it's own wow factor. But yeah, sadly, I believe Penelope will make a return.

I'm not saying 5 will revolve around the ancestors like 4 did, but why else would Sly be sent back to Egypt?

Sounds more logical for it to be DLC than the next game. Besides they said that there would be "surprises" after release.

I hope no dlc. Dlc just doesn't seem right for a sly game. I wouldn't mind more ancestors thought. I was surprised to slytunkhamen in sly 4.

However, I think they'll still just make DLC. I think if Sly 5 does come out, they're going to set it up away from time travel altogether. |

If Sanzaru wants to keep using time travel, they would probably do the same thing, but with a different plot and new ancestors. If that is the case, I'd hope they do use Slytunkhamen II, Henriette, or Thadeus. On the other hand, they could make some DLC for any new time period, but that wouldn't resolve the cliff hanger for everyone.

The problem with all the ancestors is there are so many favorites and so many that are so cool. Sanzaru has the problem of half of the fans saying "we need to see Henriette and Slytenkhamen in the next game!!" and the other half saying "you can't do time travel AGAIN!!"
So they need to pick which group of fans to please. Which can't be an easy choice.

People seem to think they need to make a new game to fit in the new ancestors, but they really don't. If they want to please everyone, we need DLC and then a new, non-time-travel-related game. I'll be pleased as long as they wrap up that loose ending with Penelope, and hopefully do it well enough to make up for the way they handled it in 4.

Yeah. The way they described Penelope escaping made it sound like she's return at a later date. Perhaps the next game will easily wrap up Sly's disappearance, leave Slytunkhamen II and Henriette for
DLC, and leave the time travel topic so they could introduce something new and fresh.

-Aliens
I dont know. It'd be new, but maybe not the best.

I think the next game won't have any crazy concepts like Time Travel, the others weren't that outrageous. I have a basic concept that goes something like this.
So there's this mysterious thief who is making all these robberies and putting the blame on Sly. So of course the gang decides to investigate. The clues they follow lead them to various locations which of course are run by the corrupt boss characters that seem to be running some suspicious activities at these sites, and all of them seem to somehow be connected with the thief. Of course you defeat the boss characters and pick up on the trail of the illusive thief as you go. I'm thinking maybe Penelope could be secretly aiding them from the shadows. She doesn't have to rejoin the team or anything, but she isn't aligned bad anymore.
And this is just an idea I came up with for the story, I'm not necessarily saying this is what the game should be like.
